The first RESILabex workshop of the Resilienhance program will be hosted by the University of Udine (Italy), and will be sponsored by the Central European Initiative. The RESILabex workshop will be held in Udine, Italy, from October 24 to 25, 2022. Participants should arrive on October 23 and depart on October 26. The meeting will be held at Palazzo del Torso, headquarter of the International Center for Mechanical Sciences (CISM).
The Resilienhance program launches an expert platform to explore effective ways and means for strengthening territorial resilience to adverse events and critical situations in the context of complexity and systemic risk. A fundamental component of the Resilienhance program is to provide a space that facilitates interdisciplinary and intersectoral exchanges on the different aspects concerning resilience to disasters, with the activation of a Platform in which experts discuss and propose recommendations aiming at supporting risk-informed and resilient sustainable development.
In this context, the RESILabex workshop will start establishing a regional Platform to enhance resilience for supporting the achievement of the 2030 Global Agenda, and to contribute to the critical thinking that would help shaping the post-2030 Agenda. With the participation of scientists, policy-makers, and experts from CEI's Member States, United Nations and European, and local institutions, the RESILabex workshop will be devoted to the elaboration of expert recommendations for strengthening territorial resilience to adverse events and critical situations in the context of complexity and systemic risk.
