The main goal of the Advanced School is to promote understanding of thermodynamics and of its wide applicability and current developments by young scientists. We also wish to attract attention to the importance of reinforced presence of thermodynamics in university curricula where recently it has been rather neglected. The choice of subjects dealt with in the Advanced School is intended to present new concepts and tools typical of present day thermodynamics research and to reinforce interest and enthusiasm in new generations of researchers in this field. Participants are expected to arrive in Udine on Wednesday, October 26 and to register at the CISM Secretariat between 8.30 and 9.30 on Thursday, October 27, 2005. A detailed schedule will be available later.
